University of Florida College of Nursing offers an accelerated BSN/MSN (ABM) curricular option with summer admission for students who already have a non-nursing bachelor's degree.
The program will require full time study for the first three and half semesters. Students will progress directly to the regular Master's in a full or part time curriculum.
Prerequisite course requirements are consistent with the existing baccalaureate program, but allow post-baccalaureate students flexibility based on previous learning. There is a pre-entry minimum requirement of 12 science credits with a minimum of a C grade or better. The required courses are anatomy, physiology and microbiology completed within the previous five years.
Courses in this program have been specifically designed for accelerated instruction for adult learners.
Students are eligible for registered nurse licensure at the end of the first year of professional study.
On admission, students meet the GRE requirements promulgated by the University of Florida for entry into graduate studies.
Students complete 7 credits of graduate course work while in the proposed baccalaureate curriculum.
Students select a clinical specialty track for graduate study after the third semester of baccalaureate enrollment.
