College of Nursing

Teaching:  Dr. Chiu teaches in child health and research to undergraduate and masters track students.

Research:  Dr. Chiu is interested in ways to promote healthy child development.  She has been involved with studies related to kangaroo (skin-to-skin contact) care and the health of homeless children.

Service:  Dr. Chiu holds membership in Sigma Theta Tau International and National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. 

Clinical Practice Area/ Area of Expertise: Dr. Chiu's area of clinical expertise is Pediatric Nursing.

Education: Dr. Chiu received her BSN and MSN at Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ.  She received her PhD in Nursing at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH.
