College of Nursing

Teaching: Professor Salazar teaches graduate nurse midwifery and undergraduate obstetric nursing.

Research: Professor Salazar has research interests in HIV infection in women.

Service: Professor Salazar holds membership in the Florida Nurses Association and the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Clinical practice area/expertise:Professor Salazar’s clinical practice area is Midwifery and Women’s Health. Prior to teaching in the College of Nursing, Professor Salazar spent seven years in Orlando, Florida in an advanced practice role in a full scope OB/GYN practice. She has eight years experience as a staff RN with Shands at UF.

Education: Professor Salazar received her BSN in Nursing at Barry University. She received her MN in Women’s Health at the University of Florida.
