Teaching: Dr. Treloar is primarily involved in clinical teaching for graduate students in the area of Infectious Diseases with a concentration in HIV/AIDS and STDs.
Research: Dr. Treloar is currently the principal investigator for a pilot study titled Internet Support Group for Rural Minority Women with HIV funded by the Biobehavioral Research Center in the College of Nursing [BRC].
Service: Dr. Treloar is a member of the UF HIV Education Committee. In this capacity she has written materials and taught classes for HIV education. She also serves as faculty in the Clinical Core Group for the Florida/Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center [ AETC].
Clinical practice area/expertise: Dr. Treloar is ANA certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and her major area of practice is in Infectious Diseases and specifically in the area of STDs. Her current clinical practice is primarily in the area of HIV/AIDS in rural north central Florida counties.
Education: Dr. Treloar received her BSN in Nursing at Rutgers University. She received her MN in Pediatric Nursing and her PhD in Nursing/Psychology at the University of Florida.
