Editorial Services

The ORS employs a full-time editor and grant writer to work with faculty on developing grant proposals or refining grant applications, revising manuscripts for publication, and compiling a variety of other professional writing projects. Specifically, the editor is available for the following services

To request editorial assistance or an appointment with the editor to discuss a project, submit a support request form to the ORS ( lrinfret@ufl.edu or HPNP 2201) that includes a) brief description of the topic, (b) the type, or level, of editorial assistance needed, (c) the journal (if known) or organization to which it is being submitted, (d) the editorial style (e.g., APA or AMA) required, and (e) any relevant deadlines. For projects already underway, you may attach an electronic copy of the manuscript (either via e-mail or on disk). If you prefer to work with hard copy (real paper), a copy of your document may be mailed or given to Ms. Victor, Program Assistant. Please double-space and use wide margins to give the editor room for proofreading marks and comments.

Depending on the writing medium used, the editor will suggest revisions and insert questions or comments using MSWord's Track Changes function. Please allow at least 10 business days for the completion of editorial projects. Grant applications will take precedence over all other manuscripts in the editorial queue.
